My FaceBook Experience

I had recently added myself to FaceBook with the idea to have it as a hobby. Didn't seem to go well. I think that when you get that socially exposed you can expect some reaction. Negative and positive - to balance it out. I have taken the personal choice of deleting myself from it due to the feedback I got from people I knew. I am starting a new life and such hassles keeps a person behind in life. It's time to meet new people.

So the question is, How can such a hobby be good for you? All these people knowing your details and friendship circles? I had an incident where somebody i knew hacked into my friendship circle and hacked my friends' hotmail e-mail address to check his emails from me.

1. Never share your password with anyone
2. Adjust your privacy settings to match your level of comfort, and review them often
3. Be cautious about posting and sharing personal information, especially information that could be used to identify you or locate you offline, such as your address or telephone number
4. Report users and content that violate our Terms of Use
5. Block and report anyone that sends you unwanted or inappropriate communications
